View Full Version : Thrown back to the Dark Ages
18 hours and counting without the Internet or Cable TV. I've begun fashioning a substitute in the form of a series of wrapping paper tubes from Christmas.
Once this is complete, I will begin to slide Playboy magazines through the tubes to my awaiting hands to give the illusion of porn being downloaded.

I think something is wrong with this story, I don't believe one thing.
You don't own Playboys...
Beginning of hour 19. I've found that the magazines do not fit. The tubes are simply too narrow. As a result, I've begun cutting them up and putting them into the tubes.
This has caused 2 interesting side effects. The first being an increase in the amount of time it takes for it to be "processed" and sent through the tube and put back together.
The second is that the pictures, once received and rejoined seem extremely blocky. I will have to procure some broader tubes.

Maybe it's not the tubes, but the processor on the other end, you should install more RAM immediately, and update your graphics card.

The internet, even the primitive one, is not a truck. you can't just put stuff on it.

I once had an end user argue with me that the reason attachments where created for emails was the purpose of transferring files to another person.
I laughed...
Still no internet. :(.
Want to buy Star Trek Online/Everquest 2 Blackberry client.
I decided last night to see if there was anyone in my neighborhood with insecure wireless connection and internet access, but alas the owner of the insecure "linksys" wireless network did not have internet either.
