Go see it.

All of you, as soon as possible.

If you have seen it, and for some reason didn't like it, die in a fire.

my first impression after seeing the long trailer when i went to see 2012 is that i would not like it due to the premise of the movie being a soldier who controls an "avatar" of an alien species and falls in love with them and betrays his people.....i have a low tolerance for that kind of thing, it maybe the military mindset but those who betray their own should DIAF as you say.

Okay, I tried to figure out what the movie was about and I never quite got the right impression so I stopped trying, decided to just see it. Yes, if you have seen Dances with Wolves, Last Samurai etc, it is that kind of story, sort of. The elements that drive it are incredibly unique though. Just as Star Wars was not unique in over arcing story, but a fantastic movie anyway. The trailers, stills, reviews simply do not do the movie justice. If nothing else it is a visual orgy for your mind. I had to remind myself that this world I now wanted to live in wasn't real.

This was the Star Wars of my generation, and if anything at least changed the way films should be made.

I am completely and utterly floored. That was amazing.

Oh.. yeah.. we went to see it today :)

The theatre was packed and coming out there was a massive crowd waiting to go in.

We saw it in 3D, of course. That's starting to get to be a standard for us now, if it's available. We're keeping a set of the glasses in the car so we can use them again. The ones we kept and brought in the house haven't made it to subsequent movies with us.

Absolutely gobsmacked. This movie takes a lot of things to a whole 'nothing level. The story was so rich, the dialogue was smooth and natural, and the graphics fit the story and enhanced it (not like a lot of movies with a lot of digital that write the story to loosely support the imagery).

When I had seen adverts for it ahead of other people seeing it and raving, I wasn't.. umm.. captivated and wasn't really interested in going to see it (and I am a big sci fi fan). It's all the people who were coming back enthralled that made me want to see it.

They really promoted this movie to be 'epic' and honestly seeing alot of the previews, I was worried. I thought they were setting this thing up to fail, because there's rarely a thing that can live up to the hype.

My wife and I watched it this past Saturday...

Unfortunately we did not get to see it in 3D, however, the results were fabulous in our eyes. My wife was truly into the story and I could not agree more. Every aspect of this movie was well-done. Visually it was unlike anything else, nothing has come close to comparing to it. Would love to see it in 3D.

I got the most enjoyment from my wife's responses, because usually a movie like this is not her type but she will go watch it with me anyways, but she's now saying this is one of her favorite movies. Unbelievable.

I think all you people are sacrilegious heathens!!!

All this movie crap and nobody remembers the true meaning of Christmas. It's a time when Kings and shepherds gathered to celebrate the Birth of a Deity.

It's a celebration of his accomplishments up to around Easter when the child dies and is reborn as a Miracle working Savior.

Yes its Bowl Season thru til the April NFL Draft when godlike Ndamukong Suh ends his College career and turns pro to save some struggling franchise!

Its truly a sacred time of year so please try and remember that.

Right now my health issue has my hormonal balance WAAAY out of whack, so at times I tend to be a lot more.. umm.. touched by things than I usually am. But, I am damn glad I was wearing the 3D glasses.

As for being a heathen.. yes, and damn proud of it :) That's not -my- diety *impish grin*. I had my celebratory day a bit earlier. Opened my mom's present on that day, too, (a jar of peach preserves and a plant.. yeah.. I've gotten to the age when presents -suck-) even though that is HER diety *impish grin*

Merry Celebrations! Even if you're just celebrating the fact you can sit on a couch and watch some football (or whatever)!
